FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol.

In other words, this is a protocol which allows you to upload and download files (pictures, video, audio) to a webserver hosted on the Internet, usually with your hosting provider.

To upload your files to a website, you will require a hosting account. I recommend GoDaddy because of their low prices and extraordinary 24/7 Customer Support.

You will also require a software (FTP Client) to enable you to transfer the files and I recommed FileZilla. It’s easy to use and it’s free! Click on the link below to download FileZilla.
