What is important to you when you go on vacation?

Is it price, quality, or simply where you go and who you go with? 

Since the 1970’s, millions of people have been taking advantage of one, two, 
and three bedroom resorts for less than the price of a hotel room through 
Timeshare Ownership. Since the inception of Timeshares we have also seen a 
lot of changes to the different types of Timeshare plans offered. 

At the beginning, Timeshare owners could only book at one home-based resort 
during the same week year after year. Developers quickly realized that the 
Timeshare Owners wanted choice, which lead to Timeshare Wholesalers, like 
Resort Condominium International (RCI) and Interval International. 

Timeshare Owners received their choice of multiple destinations but even that felt 
restrictive having to vacation the same week year after year. In the 1990’s 
the Points System was introduced to provide even more flexibility for the 
Timeshare Owners but at a huge expense. The cost of the Timeshare went up 
dramatically if you wanted to purchase two or more weeks anytime of the year, 
which included your peak holidays. 

Now I call that a transition into something more flexible for the traveler. 
The only issue is that most people cannot afford a $10,000 + Timeshare and 
the weeks are still capped unless you have a program that will Accelerate 
your points.

Timeshare Ownership transitions into Vacation Club Ownership.

The new millennium has brought on many new terms such as “blog”, “twitter”, 
and now “vacation club”. 

The term Vacation Club has been gaining popularity throughout the Timeshare 
Industry for the past few years. Typically, Vacation Clubs offer the same 
thing – flexibility. Most Vacation Club options allow members to travel any 
time of the year to multiple destinations without worrying about maintenance 
fees or the number of weeks you own.

The prices can range from as low as $1495us with Vacation Club Central to 
$15,000 + with Disney or the Marriott’s. 

Now…what if you could stay in the same 4 and 5 star resorts as Timeshare 
Owners without the huge upfront cost or maintenance fees?
